If you are looking for a step back in time - in a good way - this is a great place for a meal. The hospitality is friendly and shows a work ethic that is hard to find these days. The atmosphere is cozy. My husband's burger disappeared quickly (into his tummy I suspect), and the onion rings ate well. My chicken-fried steak was HOT (temperature) and fork tender. Being from Colorado we found the price much lower than expected. As a heads up, it is cash only. The Hawksbill is definitely a diner in a memorable way.

Service: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Food: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Environment: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ It was such a small but awesome restaurant! We went there for a lunch. I couldn’t believe that the price still kept so low while the price of everything else is soaring. I ordered a butter dipped fish. It tasted wonderful. The fish was so juicy and tender. And the shell was crunchy. The pea salad was very creamy. I like the texture it provided. I am feeling so hungry while writing this review. The waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive. I would definitely go again if I go hunting nearby next time.

Legit family diner. Went to mountains for hiking, got rained out. Instead visited the caverns. Next day, enjoyed a nice breakfast. Sliced potatoes were very interesting. Never had them like that before!
